Interior demolition in the Jersey Shore

Tier C · 23 towns covered

Stripping a house, unit, or room back to the shell — finishes, fixtures, and non-structural partitions out, structure left standing.

If this is the job you've got, you're not the first homeowner on the Jersey Shore to need it gone.

What homeowners tend to describe

  • A gut renovation where everything inside has to come out before the trades arrive
  • Water, mold, or smoke damage that has to be stripped back to studs
  • A kitchen, bath, or basement being taken back to the shell
  • A rental or flip that needs the interior cleared on a schedule

The usual approach

Interior demolition strips a building back to its structure while the structure stays standing. The crew isolates the areas coming out, protects the route the debris travels, caps or reroutes any live service in the way, then removes finishes, cabinetry, fixtures, flooring, and non-structural partitions and carries it all out by hand or by chute. Load-bearing walls and anything touching structure, wiring, or plumbing are engineering and permit questions before they are demolition ones — the construction office decides which subcodes apply, and that is not the same permit as a full teardown.

Interior work is the one job here where nothing leaves by machine. Everything comes out through the same door you walked in, so the route matters more than the volume: stairs, corners, a lift, a floor that has to be protected all the way to the skip. The structure stays up, which means the crew is working around live services and load-bearing elements rather than away from them, and the containment and dust control are as much of the day as the demolition.

Coverage

Towns we cover for this

Only the areas where this work actually applies.

Barrier island & shore boroughs

Tight lots, small setbacks, and flood-zone rules. Pools, decks, and hot tubs on narrow properties where equipment and dumpsters usually stage from the street.

Bayshore & river towns

Mixed mainland and waterfront lots along the bay, rivers, and lagoons. The full range of residential demolition, with lagoon and flood-zone jobs needing extra care.

Inland & western Ocean County

Larger inland lots with room to work. Detached garages, sheds, above-ground pools, and the occasional mobile home, with space to stage machines and roll-off dumpsters on site.
